If You Ever Need The Bipolar Writer

I am doing something unorthodox today here on The Bipolar Writer. I hope that I have created a place where my fellow mental health sufferers can have a “safe place” to discuss their own issues. I often get emails from many who are seeking help or guidance or just want to talk about things. I want everyone who comes to this blog to know that if you are suicidal there is always someone here, I am always here to talk.

The unorthodox part is that today I am going to give my number to my followers if you are suicidal and you don’t want to reach out to help-lines (I have learned recently that they are not always great.) So, if you need to chat you can text me anytime. I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible. As a mental health advocate and someone who has been through the worst parts of mental illness alone, I want you to know I am a lifeline.

You are not alone. Suicide is not the answer. Again, I am always here to talk anytime.

Always Keep Fighting.

What is the worse that can happen?

  1. I kind of want to follow your lead and leave my number buy I’m only conflicted because I would hate for someone to harass me. That’s paranoia but it is also real.

  2. Major props!!! You’re amazing! What you just did may end up saving someone’s life and that’s a beautiful thing in this mental health community. I’m so inspired by your courage to put yourself out there like you have. Did I tell you that you’re amazing? This made me literally tear up. So great, just great… wow. ❤️❤️❤️

  3. It might be worth adding the caveat that you’ll respond as soon as you are able to, since no one person is going to be able to respond immediately 24/7. That should be implied, but when it comes to suicide it’s probably worth being explicit.

  4. This is such a great thing! I must say you that I also suffer from Bipolar disorder and I also write about depression and I motivate and I hope that I inspire people. Can you please tell me your mail?
    Peace be with you

  7. I used to have a lot of suicidal thoughts, more than I do now, so I know how hopeless things can seem. A few years ago I called the suicide hotline and was put on hold for twenty minutes before I hung up. I was shocked. So this is a great thing you’re doing. Much respect.

  8. Wow I’m truly touched by your gesture and openness to share your personal contact. I’m all the way in Malaysia, and it’s so comforting to know someone from the other side of the world is there for me whenever need arises. Thank you thank you. 🙏🏻

  10. That is wonderful! I’d love to hear more about your experience with the hotlines though. That is worrying if we are referring clients to seek them but their experience is not great takes away from the benefits of that service. Thank you!
